Which version of MMW and MMA and are you doing a wifi or USB sync?

Are the problems getting files correctly to MMA or is MMW messed up too?

I have been using MMW for years and have had multiple syncing problems with my android. So much so, that I have avoided further syncs. I have recently tried again and have virtually lost everything. It started with playlists missing songs and songs disappearing after they were synced. I tried to sync the library and can't get most of the music back there either. I have spent countless hours and don't know what to do next. I have tried fixes that were suggested. Any thoughts on where to go from here?
