yes that is quite irritating . everytime i have to add such a folder i first create one more new folder , add/rescan files and then delete the new folder

When you add/rescan a subfolder MM only scans the subfolder when mulitple subfolders in the same dir are available.

When there is only one subfolder MM also scans the parent folder. This shouldn't be the case, it should only scan the subfolder.
