Hi,
Try to disable Both Crossfade and Remove silence of MMW Output plugin. (Tools -> Options -> Player -> Output Plugins -> Configure)

I have several WAV files of 1 to 2 or so seconds in duration. Such as brief chimes. They play perfectly in the other six players I've tried. But in MM they give an ugly noise spike at the end. Any suggestions as to the liklely cause and fix please?
