Turn that back on so that you can see what MM actually executes.
Same thing happens. I get prompted what option I want and I chose "Remove from playing list only". All the songs that were in the playing list were removed even though I only selected half of them.

Something odd though, in your video, I did not see the dialog pop up which asks if you want to remove from now playing only, from database, or also from disk. Do you not get that??
No I have turned that option off in General > Confirmations.

Knew I forgot something! 5.1.0.2832 non-debug.

I don't recall seeing this in previous builds of MM5. I updated to 2832 as soon as it was released.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey do you see this with?

I recently discovered that if I delete songs from my playing list to tidy the list up songs that I didn't select get removed.

I've recorded a video showing what happens if I select 6 songs out of 11 to remove these 6. All 11 songs disappear.
