As requested, please capture a debug log with MediaMonkey 5 if you can reproduce it there, MediaMonkey 4 is no longer being developed. The problem likely is some tag corruption introduced into the file by Audacity.

Hi,
You do incorrect steps, you should do:
I trim file in Audacity -> save -> In MM level file, level displayed (because it still reading the cache) -> F5 refresh (cache is cleared an it show actual value from file eg. empty) -> Right click -> Analyze volume and all should be OK.

Re comments: We need sample file after Audacity edit to see what is actually duplicated.

Gentlemen,

My questions still remain unanswered:

I trim file in Audacity, save.
In MM level file, level displayed.
F5 refresh, level entry gone.
Repeat, same.
To fix: In MM convert the already 128 file to the same.

Audacity edit, words in Comments of the File Properties window, duplicate.

Thank you.

Are you actually analyze volume and then press F5?

If you can reproduce in MediaMonkey 5, please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643

Hi,
This is normal behavior as each time you reconvert/level track Gain index needs to be recalculated and thus empty.

Eg. each time you change license plate on car you also need to get new documentation.

As for double comments, I would need to see sample file in order to check what happened.

Gentlemen,

My questions remain unanswered:

After I use Audacity to trim an mp3 file, and in MediaMonkey (4.1.31.1919) re-level the file, pressing F5 refresh, the entry in the Track Volume column is again gone.
To fix this I convert the 128 file to the same 128.
How properly resolve?

Another, related, matter: sometimes, after an Audacity edit, the few words in the Comments of the File Properties window, duplicate.
Anyone?

Thank you.

Hi,
After edit in Audacity File fingerprint changes and gain Index also changes, so it is normal that track is not leveled. Actually any other way would be wrong.

Thing I do not understand, why you degrade Audio quality on already lossy track? I would only do analyze, set start/stop time in track properties and no Quality is lost.

Gentlemen,

After I use Audacity to trim an mp3 file, MediaMonkey (4.1.31.1919) shows the file, - which has already been volume-levelled, - no longer levelled.
So I right click and level it again.
Pressing F5 refresh, the entry in the Track Volume column is again gone.
To fix this I convert the 128 file to the same 128.
How resolve?

Another, related, matter: sometimes, after an Audacity edit, the few words in the Comments of the File Properties window, duplicate.
