No, it needs to be publically available, just right click on file -> share and make settings look like this. After you done use create and close dialog.

I tested both apps and as I suspected both AIMP and PowerAmp uses own codecs and not codecs supplied buy device.

I would be curious if you can open support ticket and supply us DL link to one sample track that I can try to play on some friends FiiO device (if he loan me again)?

So I played an ALAC file in Mediamonkey on my Fiio M11 Plus Ltd that plays fine in all the other music apps. As I stated before...no sound. The app looks like it's playing the file...but no sound

So I exported and sent the logs.

The log ID was R84MF8ZVD3

Based on what you said it looks that FiiO do not have native support for ALAC (m4a Lossless), but both Native player and VLC (which is known) use own custom codecs not registered on OS.

Have you tried rename that M4a to ALAC and try to play in MMA folder browser?

Also if you can please use ⋮ -> About MediaMonkey -> Send Logs -> Write LOG id here and press OK to send log to us. That way we can see what exactly is going on when MMA tries to play the track.

I just installed VLC for Android on the Fiio and it plays the m4a files too.

Hi. I have been using mediamonkey for android for many years with the same music library. Most of my files are Apple lossless (.m4a files).

These same Apple lossless files play fine in mediamonkey on all my other devices (Galaxy A32 5G, LG V20, LG V40, etc.), except my new Fiio M11 Plus.

Mediamonkey will play .mp3 files on the Fiio. Just the m4a files don't work. They look like they're playing, but no sound.

These same m4a files play fine on the Fiio using their native music app.

How do I get mm to play all my m4a files on my Fiio m11 plus?
