While stepping through a folder of tracks in MM4, deleting some after playing to review, I'm frequently getting the message "Cannot rename directory" and cannot fathom why. After a deletion I try to rename the folder in the node pane (e.g. from 'Frank Sinatra (23)' to 'Frank Sinatra (22)' ) and the message prevents me from proceeding. I then have to resort to closing and restarting the program. What factors prompt this error message please?
Merely removing the last track played from Now Playing doesn't resolve it. The track remains bold in the main window, which I'm guessing is the cause, but how do I 'unbold' it?
Another way of avoiding it would be to work in File Explorer after changing my MP3 association from MM4 to one of my other players, but that would be a poor solution.
