I Drag the whole folder from Windows Explorer, containing the album's tracks and folder.jpg from any new album, to the "Music" node in the media tree. This is my preferred method and always worked for me in MM4.

You meant you dragged all tracks at once or a folder with tracks ?

Dragging an album from Explorer to a tree node (such as "Music") doesn't add album. What I get is a blank square saying "Unknown Album", with usually no tracks listed, though occasionaly displays one track (see image below. This album has correctly added art, both to Tag and folder.jpg). Deleting this entry and scanning monitored folder adds album properly. This is consistent, happening every time I try to add albums via dragging on to tree node.
