I would suggest that you open Sales support Ticket with same question on upgrade.

MMA and MMW are separate products and they are handled like that so one license do not interfere with state of other app.

Version 4 vs Lifetime doesn't affect MediaMonkey for Android at all. It just determines for which versions of MMW you can use the License. I don't believe there is an upgrade path from Version 4 to a Lifetime License.

Does the lifetime gold licence connect with the app? The only options I see require separate upgrades, but no way to connect my licence to it.

Does the app not connect to lifetime gold? Just downloaded it again on a new phone and I can't see any way to connect it with my lifetime licence.
