Background: I have MMW 4.1.0.1692 and MMA Pro 1.0.4.0233. The MMA program resides on my Samsung Galaxy 4’s internal memory, with my actual mp3’s on the SD card (approximately 3,000). I use a USB connection to transfer tracks from MMW to MMA with no problem. However, on two occasions I lost my playlist on MMA (which apparently resides on internal ram) when I had to have my phone repaired and I’m tired of recreating the playlist on MMA. I am now evaluating how to better set up the relationship between MMA and MMW so as to avoid this problem and make the whole syncing relationship safer and more efficient. I’ve looked through the forum and haven’t quite found the answer to my questions, although maybe you can direct me to specific posts. So, I have the following questions:
1. Should I set up the MMA play list on the sd card so that it is not subject to any issues with the electronics in my phone or when transferring to a future phone?
2. I really want to easily sync MMA with MMW but I have specific requirements and don’t know how to set up the sync to do so. Below is what I would prefer, if possible:
a. Set up my playlist and mp3 tracks to manually sync from MMW to MMA through USB;
b. Set up my sync so that I never delete a mp3 track from MMW even when I delete the track from MMA;
c. Set up MMA playlist so that when I delete a mp3 track from the MMA playlist it will also delete the actual track from MMA sd card, delete the track from the MMW playlist, but never delete the track from the MMW database. (THIS IS VERY CRITICAL.)
d. Set up the sync so that when I add a track to MMW playlist it will add the track to MMA playlist and the track to MMA sd card.
3. Validate that this process works.
I’m sure many of you know how to do this but I just not familiar enough with the process and nomenclature to have confidence that I won’t screw up my large database of mp3’s on MMW on my computer.
Thanks very much for the great help on this forum.
