My sync has slowed to an unacceptable crawl after upgrading to MediaMonkey 4.1.9.1764 with the following specifics:
PC: Dell XPS 8500 x64-based PC, 12 GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.10240 Build 10240
iPod Touch 2nd gen 64GB, Model MC011LL, iOS 5.1.1 (9B206)
Sync was fast with previous version before upgrade to 4.1.9.1764.
I completely erased all data and settings on the iPod Touch before starting the sync, as I usually do -- since in the past I have experienced sync issues when I did not do that -- so this was a fresh sync/load onto what amounts to a 'new'/empty iPod configuration.
The slow crawl degenerated to an outright hang on the copying of track #659 out of 1832 (after about 15 hours or so), so I eventually aborted the sync operation.
I am doing on-the-fly auto-conversion of files (all source formats) to AAC (VBR, 100% quality) using the AAC conversion plugin that I purchased along with my 4.x Gold license.
Please let me know if you need further information.
Thanks,
John
P.S. Can/should I downgrade in the short-term to sync my iPod -- since 4.1.9 ultimately hangs and I can't use it to sync?
