Same issue here. Random tracks. Doesn't happen consistently with any given track.

Pressing "Next" starts next song as expected, increments play count on last song, and updates Last Played date.

Running latest release version (4.1.24.1883), but it has been happening for awhile now with previous versions as well.

Try File > Maintain Library with complete optimization checked.

Thanks for your help. Though i have updated to latest version( found it in my download file, though no indication was given that it was downloaded) but problem still exist, it does not happen on every song and it is consistent with the ones it does happen with.
Could it be something about the tracks that is causing this. The tracks affected come from different artist, different sources, no pattern or characteristics that i can see.

Then I suggest you start with updating to the latest version which is 4.1.15.1830.

Which version of MediaMonkey?

Some songs seem to get to the end and repeat a few bar continuously, can stop by pausing but if i try an play or move to a new song the program is non responsive and i need to shut it down.
