UPDATE:

Did not update to 1642 yet, wanted to verify this first.

Replaced WiFi router (I love new toys! - TL-WDR3500 if you're wondering)
and now connection/sync is much smoother.

Still reporting errors, and the status bar thinks I'm still syncing,
but I'm sure 1642 will help with that.

4GB RAM, gigabit ethernet to Monoprice wifi AP

Bubble UPnP free finds MMW,
but only the items selected for the device in MMW.

Sync fails over network.
I'm starting to suspect this is all due to a craptastic wifi AP.
New equipment ordered, will advise.

1. Which Windows OS version?
2. Does the other UPnP/DLNA android clients (like BubbleUPnP, PlugPlayer, ...) see the MMW server?

The latter is a bug that is being worked on. The former I don't know how to address as I doubt that a debug log will do any good (as MMA is the one failing to find MMW).

Network is fine (same subnet), no firewall on PC.
Not sure how to test UPnP in this environment (work).

Uninstalled the Service, then rebooted the phone.
No change.

Rebooted the PC, then network sync worked but returned errors (list of files that could not be downloaded).
After sync, MMA no longer finds MMW.

Make sure they're both on the same network, the firewall on your PC still allows MMW through, that the server is still sharing. Does UPnP still work (either from MMA or other client)? Have you maybe enabled run as service in the MMW Media Server?

For me 1641 and 139 still see each other.

USB sync works, but over wifi, the MMA can't find the MMW, and vice versa.

Worked with 1638 (missed some updates), made no significant changes,
IP address stayed the same.
