Re: Minimize starting of MM (no focus)

Hello Lowlander,

Occurs, we often talk past each other.
The solution: MM starts with the Windows-window minimized and plays the last song played.

https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-auto ... n-windows/
and
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.exe" /Play

Thank you for your patience.

You say it shows Splash screen and I was helping with that. /NoSplash has no effect on the main window.

Yes we love mediamonkey, but i'm getting crazy on the start up sequence of MM.
Every time it runs it pushing a fcus to MM windows. So it is impossible to start up MM in the backgrond.

Hello Vald,
it works exactly as described in the link of "seed_or_die » 12 Mar 2013, 15:14 "
https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-auto ... n-windows/
I wonder what is the point of starting MM in the background and not being able to play a song.
Therefore I thought that you can start MM in the background (without a Windows window) and automatically play the last played song.

Are you sure you're seeing a Splash screen? This is not the same as the MediaMonkey window itself. For me it isn't shown.

Thanks Lowlander, now we are as smart as before.
But that's not tragic.

You already have it disabled, so a Splash screen shouldn't be shown.

Hello Lowlander,
sorry, but it doesn't work too:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.exe" /NoSplash /Play

What do you mean?
Anyway you can disabled it from Tools > Options > General as well.

Maybe try /NoSplash instead of /nosplash. Anyway you can disabled it from Tools > Options > General as well.

Hello Pavle,
thanks for the link, but
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.exe" /nosplash /Play

only works partially.
MM show's splash screen and the last played music file is played. "nosplash" has no effec.

So many people think that this works. It doesn't.

I just want to also ask for this, as a new media monkey customer i was very disappointed in all the options labeled, i cant startup this program with windows without it popping up and taking over the screen.

Yes we love mediamonkey, but i'm getting crazy on the start up sequence of MM.

Every time it runs it pushing a fcus to MM windows. So it is impossible to start up MM in the backgrond.

Case:
My HTCPS is running MM & XMBC. MM takes some time to open all needed files before opening windows on the desktop. While í'm using XBMC, mediamonkey open windows and puts the focus on its own windows ... XBMC is being minimized. Now i have to select XMBC with my mouse to return to XBMC.

Using a minimized version of MM doesn't not solve this problem. The only working solution is using a startup delay of 30-60 seconds to let MM complete its start-up sequence.

A simple minimized start-up option where windows are created without taking over the main focus would be very beneficial to MM.
