Try the WinAmp plugin from WavPack's website. WinAmp plugins should work with MM.

.WV files aren't recognized by Media Monkey. No reason to get into why this new format was "necessary", but will Media Monkey support it (and hopefully facilitate getting files converted OUT of it)?
