I've noticed that upon connecting my Android phone, my library in Windows is not updated with "Last Played" and play count information with plays from the phone when the phone is scanned.
When I connect my iPod and it is scanned, "Last Played" and "Play Count" get updated to my windows library upon scan. This allows me to know what I've listened to (I delete recent listens from my everyday shuffle playlist) without doing a full sync. It's much faster.
As it stands now, I have to connect my ipod, let it scan, connect my android, do a full sync, update my playlist, do a full sync on the android, and then do a full sync on the iPod.
Even without considering my specific use, logically sync and device connection should probably work the same across devices as much as possible.
