Re: DiscogsAutotagWeb pop-up

Hi,
You should check Tools -> Extensions and first uninstall DiscogsAutotagWeb, Restart and then install it again. If it is missing in extensions try to manually Install and then uninstall before you install it again.

Most likely you have some leftover from previous install. If that do not help Please Open support Ticket and I'll try to help you in more details.

DiscogsAutotagWeb pop-up

by disco » Wed Nov 07, 2018 5:01 pm

When I start MM4, I get the message as per image.
no matter which option I sleect, it still comes up
I checked the ini file and there are no references to DiscogsAutotagWeb in it.
How do I stop it coming up?

Yep...at least I think so.
It says it's installed for current user.

Hi Cybergooch,

you could try to reinstall the script. Deinstall the script, restart MM, install Script.

I think that Discogs may had problems which they fixed.
That's the explanation!

Can i bother you again ?

Some releases have different tracks with same title :

example :

01 - Main title
...
10 - Main title

and after tagging with DT :

01 - Main title
...
01 - Main title

DT changes the track number

Only solution i found is unchecking the track number box. Is it possible to fix it ?

It's not a big issue, but did you noticed that ?

Thanks again
Hi,

this is a known problem of Mediamonkey, MM sort the tracks with the track-names, not with the track-number. You can try the addon Discogs Batch Tagger, with it you can change the track-position easily while tagging.

Check under Tools > Extensions if Discogs is actually installed.

Best methods of autotagging?

by Cybergooch » Mon Nov 05, 2018 7:24 pm

I'm fairly new to MM4 and am trying to figure out the autotag from web thing.

Apparently it no longer works with Amazon. (so I'm not sure why Amazon is still selectable in the options window?)
I installed the Discogs tracker, and according to the directions:

"After installing the script you have to choose your favourite Tagger (Discogs or MusicBrainz) from options in the right upper corner."

So I use the dropdown in the upper right corner, which shows only options for Amazon.
What am I missing?

Or, is there a better way to do autotagging?
Thanks

Many thanks for sending me a PM, but sorry i can't read it (all i see is "export this view" as CSV ?)

Anyway you may have magical powers, because DiscogsTagger is working, and very fine! :)

Congratulations again for your work, i can't imagine using MM without your addon.
Thanks, you are welcome! I'm happy that you like the addon!

I think that Discogs may had problems which they fixed.

Hi crap_inhuman,

I'm a long time user of your essential addon, but overnight, everytime i try to use discogs autotag, i get the following
messages :

Error #-2146697208 - Msxml6.dll
Echec du téléchargement de la ressource spécifiée

File "C:\Users\MyName\Appdata\Roaming\Mediamonkey\Scipts\DiscogsWebTag.vbs" Line 6257, Column 3

Then :

Error during script execution
Echec du téléchargement de la ressource spécifiée

I removed the extension, updated MM to the latest version, updated Windows 10, then updated your extension
but unfortunately always the same.

Oddly, the MusicBrainz tagger works, but for me it's pale in comparison to Discogs tagger.
I noticed that the option of choosing Discogs tagger in the upper right corner disapeared (but the extension is stil appearing in the options)

Do you think it's possible to fix it ?

Many thanks

Thanks; I think this will be very useful! Will it also work when I'd like to change multiple filters like the type filter, format filter, year filter and/or country filter without waiting for a search after each individual change?
You welcome. No, it will only work with track / tracknames. But i will take a look if it's possible.
