FYI: It is fixed in 4.1.25.1888: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 60#p461177

Could you please confirm the fix?

Thanks!

Thanks,
it is indeed the issue for you, your iPhone XR has a little bit different USB ID format and this is the reason why MM is not detecting it correctly and considers it as the old style iPhone/iPod (resulting in bad iTunesCDB write).

Will be fixed as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15280

Hi, thx, could you please attach the debug log as I have already requested via JFO-481-83317 ?

The point is that for the iPhone XR MM isn't supposed to create or write iTunesCDB file, I need to see your debug log to understand why this is happening for you.

Sure, here are the steps:

- Launch MediaMonkey 4.1.25.1885
- Select any single MP3 file in MediaMonkey library
- Right click > Send to > <iPhone Name> (Synchronize)
- Quit MediaMonkey
- Launch iTunes 12.9.6.3
- "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone "<iPhone Name>". Go to the summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings."
- Quit iTunes
- Launch iFunbox 4.1 Build 4338.2105 (x64) [Downloaded from i-funbox website]
- Click "Toolbox" on left and click "User File System"
- In file system tree, navigate to "iTunes_Control/iTunes" and delete the following files: iTunesControl, iTunesCDB and iTunesPrefs
- Quit iFunbox
- Launch iTunes again
- iTunes recognizes device again, i.e., it doesn't show the error message and allows sync
- If I copy another file to it with MediaMonkey, the error message will come back in iTunes

Thanks!

Hi,
Can you please describe in step by step how you workaround the problem after you sync with MMW?

I'm currently having this issue with an iPhone XS running iOS 12.3.1, iTunes 12.9.6.3 and MediaMonkey 4.1.25.1885. I've used iFunbox to clear out the old control/CDB/prefs files, and iTunes will recognize the phone again, but as soon as I use MediaMonkey to copy any audio files to it, the problem returns. Is there currently a known resolution for this issue? If not, is there anything I can do to help debug? Thanks!

Hi, sounds like https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15665

Please try whether 4.1.25.1885 (https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 45#p458471) fixes the issue for you?

While the sync is no longer corrupting the iTunes database, things are still not completely working. When I load playlists from MM to iPhone XR, the songs transfer, however the loaded Playlists do not appear on the phone.

I tried loading a couple of different playlists. Same results.
MM 4.1.24.1883
Tried it on iOS 12.1.4. Didn't work.
Updated to iOS 12.3. Still not working.

@Jeevesunit: Thx, solving separately via the eSuport ticket.

@Norbi1962, @DirkTheDaring , @Openroads, @kudos:
Could you please anyone of you confirm whether this d_iphone.dll:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ae2ft1o27vx92 ... e.dll?dl=0
fixes the problem for you?

Just replace your current /MediaMonkey/plugins/d_iPhone.dll by the downloaded one and do the test and let me know.

Thanks!

Thanks I've posted a Dbg File on the Helpdesk. Let me know if you need anything further.

@Norbi1962, @DirkTheDaring , @Openroads, @kudos

Could you please try which of the supplied DLLs fixes the issue per my request here

i.e.
1) download d_iPhone.dll ('version 4' and 'version 5' here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wt932ipzc4bg ... FSS7a?dl=0 )
2) replace your current /MediaMonkey/plugins/d_iPhone.dll by the downloaded one and do the test.

Does it resolve the issue for you?

@Jeevesunit
This sounds like another issue, could you please generate debug log using steps from here ?

Hallo,
same issue on my device: iPhone XR with latest iOS 12.1.4, latest official MM 4.1.23.1881.
Checken it two times (download music with MM, no recognition with iTunes, deletion of itunescdb on iphone, recognition with iTunes, ...).
Best regards

Hi, I think I have a linked issue.
iPhone 6s: iOS 12.1.4
Windows 10: MediaMonkey 4.1.24.1882

I've been using MM for 2 years as my main PC and iPhone music platform with no syncing issues.

I recently tried to Sync my iPhone with MediaMonkey. It is detected by MM and initiates autosync but after about 5 seconds of (preparing list of files) it stops.

Clicking on the iPhone in MM brings up an error message under the currently selected track in MM of: "12.1.4" is not a valid integer value

When I look at the device in Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync the Capacity bar is showing only about 10% of the Audio files on the device.

I ran through a few obvious fixes updating iTunes, MM, iOS and restarting both the device and the PC. During this process I came across this iTunes issue. I've tried renaming the iTunes CDB file which fixes the issue in iTunes but the original sync issue in MM remains. I've also tried replacing the .dll file with versions 4 & 5 in the link but this doesn't resolve the corrupted CDB file issue in iTunes.

Any thoughts on what to try next? Happy to log a debug file if someone can point me in the right direction of how to do that.

Thanks
