If you your License Key is being rejected, it can be because:

1. The username or key has been entered incorrectly.
Try to enter the username and license key again, but use 'copy' & 'paste'
to do so (make sure to copy the username and key from the original
purchase receipt). This usually occurs when either the username or key are typed
in manually. Examples of common errors are:
o Transcription errors: typing a '1' instead of an 'I' or an 'l'
o Case-sensitivity errors: typing an 'h' instead of an 'H'.
2. The wrong username or password is being used. Common errors are:
o E-mail address is used instead of the username
o User ID & Password for the store is used instead of the Username & License key
o Username & Password for the MediaMonkey web site (Forum, Support Site,
or Wiki) is used instead of the Username & License Key
o Transaction Reference number or the Product code is used as the License key
Make sure to use the Username and License key that are explicitly provided when
you purchase the Gold version. If you're not sure what it is, see:

[SOLVED] my licence number has become invalid for no reason

by frankenpod » Fri Dec 29, 2017 1:10 pm

Windows had a stroke and had to be reset. So had to reinstall everything, including MM.

Have a gold licence for mm4.x But I now can't register it as it says the licence number is invalid, even though it's cut-and-pasted straight from the original invoice email when I purchased it.

I can't seem to log in to the 'support' site and there seems no way to ask anything there unless you have an account. The login info for this forum doesn't work there and I don't know what login details they are asking for.

Help! It's frustrating enough that windows trashed itself and have to reinstall everything, this is an additional annoyance.

Thanks.

Edit solved it, it wanted a different spelling of my name. Would help if it made clear the problem was the user name rather than the licence number.
